Frolicking at the Grove...

The kids thought today should be a swimming day, but 70 degrees isn't quite what I call Ross Park weather, so we compromised and hit Jensen's Grove instead...

The plan was for Sevy to be asleep this whole time... obviously she had other ideas...

Memorial Weekend...

We decided to hit Shoshone Falls this Saturday for Memorial Weekend.  We have never been and thought since we live so close we should go! (actually, Tara, seeing your FB pics of Mason there with your parents, I was like, we live in Idaho, we need to have seen this place!!)
It was of course Idaho Memorial weather.  Rainy.  But we still had a good time.

Note to self: next time, pick a better weather day, bring a picnic lunch and relax at the great park!

MOAB...

Our 3rd annual Mothers Day weekend down in Moab with the Montaño Fam. We love this trip.  It is filled with a lot of fun, laughing, swimming, eating, hiking and just good times!!

Here someone took a spill as we walked the streets of downtown and had to ride a donkey to make the owie on her knee feel better... it worked (thank goodnes!)

Sevy getting read to hit the pool...

These kids swam from sun up to sun down it seemed.  They just couldn't get enough...

Aunt Holly slathering on the sunscreen.  The Moab sun can be brutal on us whities!!

Grandma San and Aunt Melissa relaxing and enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather...

Abby and Maya were AMAZING! They took care of Sevy and Coco.  Thank you girls, you are the sweetest!!

And Regan was awesome with this little girl, who really didn't make it easy for her.  Thank you Regs for not giving up!!

We had to head back to the music park for some fun...

Silly cousin Esi! We just love this girl!

So there are these instruments all over this park and you just go and play... We love it (not sure all the people who live around this park do!!)

Then Uncle Nate took us on an incredible hike up to a water fall and two natural swimming holes...

Sevy was such a trooper, she did SO WELL!

 Regan keeping Macey hydrated...

Finally we got to swimming hole! The water was cold but so refreshing...

CRAZY Uncle Nate BACKFLIPPING off the from the top into the swimming hole...

Teah was the first kid to make the jump! She was so brave, I couldn't even believe it.  No hesitation, she just jumped.  Go Teah!! Thanks for the confidence builder...

Jace decided he wanted a turn, so up the waterfall he went...

 Matt jumped first...

 Then Jacer!!!

And I could NOT believe this one, then went MARIN!! They were so brave, it was so fun to watch!

Moab 2012 was such an adventure... we are already wishing it was next year!!!!!!
The only sad part of the trip is that we ran out of time to go rappelling, next time for sure Nate!

Square dancing and training wheels...

Jace and all the other first graders were able to learn some square dancing steps this year and then had a program to show off everything they had learned...

It was fun watching the kids all have so much fun.  Way to go Jace!

This little girl has finally decided it is time to learn to ride a real bike (She still refers to the plasma car as her "other bike")! She has been encouraged, prodded, made fun of by her siblings but she hasn't let that influence her at all. She is determined to do things her way, at her pace and she is. I am sure someday that will be a strength, but as for now, it's just a bit frustrating :)  Way to go Macey!!
