Happy St Patrick's Day... and Birthday....

March 17th Jace turned 7 years old...

Jace has such a fun personality. He is so active and interested in so many things, he keeps us on our toes and we love it!

And Happy St Patrick's Day!

FoNdUe NiGhT...

Oh what a night. For FHE we did Fondue and the pictures really tell the story...

First, you heat the cream...

Then you add the chocolate...

Stir...

Add some good Mexican vanilla...

And then, there you have it. Heaven in a pot...

Transfer to a fondue pot...

Get your many accessories ready for dipping and ENJOY...

Someone REALLY enjoyed herself...

What was left in just a matter of minutes...

Someone's feeling like they may have overdone it...

Can you see the chocolate in her hair and face... she LOVED it!

How Sevy spent her FoNdUe NiGhT!

Utah...

This past weekend we went to Utah and had a whole lotta fun. First we stopped and checked out Aunt Tracy's new pad in the Salt Lake Avenues and then headed off to dinner to Benihana's. It was so much fun and so delicious!
Then Jace and Matt headed off to the Jazz vs Heat game and LOVED it. Jace was so happy, the Jazz won, but he still got to see LeBron James play and be, well, LeBron...

Saturday we hit the Monte E. Bean Museum up at BYU, it's one of our favorite places.

Proof our dog really will eat anything...

Good luck at baseball tryouts this weekend, Jace!

The Case for Broccoli...

My mom will appreciate this post if not only for the fact there are green veggies in it! So a few days ago Jace asked why we never had broccoli, stating he REALLY likes broccoli. This was news to me, I must confess, I do not do a very good job at having a vegetable at every dinner meal. A salad is about as far as I go. Green beans once in a great while. It probably has something to do with the fact that I don't really love veggies myself, but since Jace requested it, I decided to take him at his word. Now, I was completely ready for the old, you know how it goes, the kids request something for dinner only to tell you that they have decided they don't really like what they requested all that much anymore, (i.e. happened last week with Marin and lazanya!) ... Well, was I surprised! Not only did Jace eat and eat and eat every piece of broccoli in sight...

But so did his sisters! I don't think Macey has even seen broccoli before (at least not from me!!)

And they loved it! Ate and ate!! Uncooked, raw broccoli. And kept telling me this was the best dinner ever!!!!

Well, for me, I did some fried chicken. Use buttermilk and I got a new dredging recipe from Cooking Channels Kelsey Nixon which is absolutely AMAZING...

Made a Potato Salad from Our Best Bites cookbook which was really good, considering I am not a big potato salad fan...

Then a broccoli/bacon salad which everyone loves whether you like broccoli or not...

And then just veggies and ranch...

Don't know how I got so lucky to have kids not just eat their green veggies, but to ask for them and mean it. I was trying to not have such a heavy meal with potatoes and gravy and rolls or biscuits with the chicken and this turned out better, WAY better than I ever could have expected!

And here's just a few pics to show you how big and cute little Miss 3 month old Sevy is getting!!!!
