MOAB!!!!

We went to Moab this past weekend for some family fun, but decided it would be more fun if we left Macey with Grandma and Grandpa Rice. So of course, this kids have to ride Sweetie...

Macey wasn't too thrilled about the 4-wheeler...

and get a ride on the motorcycle...

We love Sweetie!!

Our adventures in Moab begin!

This was at the new visitors center...

Our first hike, to just get our feet wet with!

I guess it's time for a new camera, I have no idea why half of my pics turned out like this (arg!)
This is Balancing Rock...

Hiking to the Windows....

The cousins! Regan, Baylee, Esi, Jace, Marin, Maya, Abby and Dakota!

The beautiful Delicate Arch. It was a 3 mile hike all around and worth every step!

Marin, Teah, Esi and Havi, so glad to have made it!

YEAH! We made it!!

It was such a good idea to not invite Macey on this trip. 3 miles is a bit much and we ended up carrying both Marin and Jace for a ways, but still, so worth it!

The next day we rented Jeeps and headed out to Canyonlands for some fun! None of the pictures I took gave what we did any justice at all! Let me just tell you, Elephants back is not for beginners!! We love that our Uncle Nate got this together and took us along! It was awesome! The kids (and mostly Matt) LOVED jeeping.

Yes, Jace was the ONLY boy cousin on this trip! I am just so glad his girly cousins aren't too girly and love to hike, get dirty, try to catch lizards (and collect sticks!) with him!

We jeeped to this trail head and hiked to where the Green and Colorado Rivers meet. I would say they need to be renamed to the Brown and the Muddy Rivers!!

We loved going back to the hotel and swimming after a hard days hiking and jeeping!

We loved Moab and weren't ready to come home yet! This is going to have to be an annual tradition!!

Crazy hair in the morning!

We have had such nice weather these past few days...

We will all be so sad when it leaves (which is inevitable!)

Easter Family Fun...

We started the Easter weekend off with a bang! Friday night we ate at one of my new all time favorite places... and when there, do not forget to order the mango passion fruit drink... (heaven!) We then headed off for an event I have had tickets for for ALMOST a year! Wicked finally came to SLC and there are no words... seriously, NO WORDS. I loved every second of it!
Seeing musicals like this make me wish so badly I was born with some musical talent. I would play the character of Glinda in a heartbeat! Matt and I had a great time.

The kids got to hang out at Gma and Gpa Rice's. The had so much fun. Here is Jace on "the naughty pony", Callie...
Marin got to ride Sweetie...

Oh, I miss Salem... I swear my parents place has not changed a bit!

And after a few pictures, again with the posing... but at least she's having fun!!

Marin got to make a new friend with Laura, my cousin Amber's little girl.

And of course Saturday we colored the beloved Easter Eggs!

Aunt Candela and Uncle Chris were there and brought some DELICIOUS chocolate eggs they had hand made! They were an Easter tradition for Candela growing up!

Aunt Tracy and Uncle Craig are always the kids' fav's... they are so silly!

One of Marin's favorite eggs...

The Eggs! We all commented easter eggs sure have come a long way in the Rice household since when we colored them as kids... using crayons and food coloring... not these little coloring kits complete with glitter and foil!

Macey participating in the coloring festivities...

And how she spent most of her Easter Weekend! Except for the night we went to Wicked. Apprarently she's a bit attached... she cried a lot for my mom... sorry mom! I hope she does better in a few weeks for Moab!

Easter morning after finding their hidden baskets!

4-wheeling with Crazy Tracy and Craig!

They spent a lot of time cuddling with Hamilton...

Jace and Marin planted these beautiful flowers for gma!
(yes, they are weeds in rusted out cans, but hey... it's the thought that counts!)

We were so lucky to get to see our cousins Sarah, Ben and Ani Leonhardt! We love you guys!

We also got Macey's 6 month pictures taken (of course she's 7 1/2, but it's close!)

She was so smiley! Perfect picture day!

The Sweetest Things...

Macey fell asleep while watching a movie with Marin and Jace...

Learning how to sit up is a lot of work!
