Jack Attack...

We love our 10 month old black lab puppy Jack and it has never been so evident as this past week. Thursday on our way home from school I turned the car onto our street and hit a black shadow... which turned out to be Jack! I ran him over and then back over him again (don't ask)! It was terrible. He ended up having bruised lungs, a concussion and maybe a fractured leg, but the vet gave him some anti-inflammatory medication and he's doing a lot better. He is almost back to normal and we are so grateful!
Not to say we didn't have two very upset kids. Marin just kept hysterically crying, "Jack, don't die, don't die!" and Jace through sobs blurted out, "Jack can't die, I want to see what he looks like when he grows up!"

He's getting a lot of attention and some well deserved tender loving care to help him with his recovery.
The hurt leg... mending fast and he can ALMOST run on it again!

Our back gate swung open in the wind (this Idaho wind is FOR REAL!) which is how he came to be in the street in the first place. We're just glad he's going to survive and be around for a long, long time!

Poor Jack, how sad. Glad he is feeling better. This ID wind is what I hate most about ID. Cole's glad Jace is his friend & can't wait to play with him again.

That is always so tramatic as a child... I'm glad he is recovering!!
